The Beginning.
I was looking for a crop that would do well in the Applegate Valleys climate. The Applegate Valley is being compared to France’s Bordeaux region. With my french heritage and love of flowers, lavender seemed to be the perfect fit. We visited the Sequim Lavender festival and saw the potential.
What we know now is our lavender is doing well in our field. We planted it in a section of rocky loam soil, which gives us good drainage, because lavender doesn't like wet feet.

We are located in the beautiful, sunny, Applegate Valley in Southern Oregon. Between Grants Pass, known for its perfect climate, and historic Jacksonville, our farm is one of several family-owned agribusinesses in the area taking advantage of the fertile soil and nurturing climate. Among our farming neighbors are numerous organic farms and vineyards.

Our farm has been cultivated from the same land that my parents owned before us. Dad enjoyed golf on his cow pasture course daily for over 20 years and Mom’s daffodils and peonies still grow on the property. In addition to our lavender, we are now also raising cattle, sheep, and chickens.
